Here's What We Did to Improve in This Crazy Year

Written by High Sabatino | Sep 04, 2020

What are you going to say in 10 or 15 years when people ask you these questions...

How did you make it through 2020? Was it a crazy time to live? When you were stuck at home or inside your office, what did you do? What was it like not being able to go out to dinners or to meet colleagues for cocktails?

We are all in control, right now, of how we're going to answer those questions, and here at High Sabatino, we didn't want the moment to pass us by. When we're stuck here in the office unable to host so many of our amazing customers and clients, we decided to make our office an even better place to visit. Like some others around the country, during the age of the coronavirus, we decided to renovate.

"Here at High Sabatino, we decided to take advantage of this time when we weren't holding in-person demos and our customers weren't coming in to test our equipment," said Mike Colligon, principal of High Sabatino. "Sometimes you can only control how you respond to a situation, and for us, that response was all about making things better."

As part of the test kitchen renovation in our Jessup, Maryland facility, we're reorganizing our equipment selection to make better use of the space we have. This includes adding a larger hood to accommodate a wider range of foodservice equipment solutions.

The age of COVID-19 has also made clear the importance of virtual capabilities. As a result, we're also building in cameras so we can live stream and broadcast many of our demos including RATIONAL CookingLive and Irinox's Freshness Reimagined.

After renovations are complete, we believe we'll have the nicest test kitchen in the entire Virginia, Maryland, and metro Washington, D.C. area. And we can't wait to host you as soon as possible, whether it be virtually or, hopefully, in person.

Did you know that our webinars are perfect for learning how to use a piece of equipment creatively?
