AMAZING VITAMIX RECIPES

APPETIZER - SPICY HUMMUS

When you're looking for that perfect snack or appetizer, hummus is always a delicious choice. With so many options on the kinds you can make, it's easy to have a different flavor as often as you'd like.

Ingredients needed:

  • 15 ounces canned chickpeas,
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • ½ cup Tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 teaspoon salt

You can place all of these items into your Vitamix mixer, select variable 1, and be amazed as it mixes into a tasty hummus mix. For a creamier blend, you can slowly increase the settings as it mixes. The great thing is this takes roughly 6 minutes to make, meaning you'll have a delicious treat without a lot of hard work.

MAIN COURSE - SQUASH SOUP

Soup is great for days spent indoors. It's a basic comfort food and it usually doesn't take long to make. We've listed the ingredients Vitamix suggests for some amazing squash soup.

BREAD - FRENCH BREAD

Bread is a household necessity in most homes. It pairs well with almost any dish, you can eat it a million (and one) different ways, and it's usually the first to go at grocery stores. Rather than fighting the crowds to get a loaf at the grocery store, try making your own. You can portion it as needed and save yourself from the crowds.

Needed Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water, divided use, 105˚F-115˚F (40˚C-46˚C)
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain cornmeal
  • 1 egg white, beaten with 1 tablespoon water

Ingredients needed:

  • 2½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup cubed butter, chilled
  • ¼ cup ice water
  • ¾ cup fruit preserves, your choice of flavor
  • 1 egg plus 1 teaspoon water, beaten

Additionally, you'll need an oven, 2 baking sheets with parchment paper, 20 minutes to mix everything with 30 to cook. For full cooking instructions, you can check out the recipe online

SMOOTHIE - TRIPLE BERRY

As temperatures rise and warmer days approach, a good smoothie is perfect to keep your body cool and your taste buds alert.

Ingredients needed:

  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup red grapes
  • ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries

Starting by mixing the ingredients into your Vitamix machine, secure the container and select variable 1 to begin blending. Work your way up to variable 10 and blend for roughly 1-2 minutes until your smoothie is perfected. You can expect to spend less than 10 minutes preparing this, and the frozen ingredients are perfect lasting a while.
